El lanzamiento del libro será el 1 de diciembre de 10 a 13 horas en la sala Acuña de Figueroa del Palacio Legislativo.
La atención y prenevención de la violencia sexual y la violencia de género continúa siendo una deuda pendiente en Uruguay. La publicación “A flor de piel” presenta relatos y miradas sobre esta problemática, combinando testimonios con artículos.
La primera parte del libro presenta relatos sin rodeos, crudos, explícitos, dolorosos e indispensables para abrir el diálogo sobre la cultura del encubrimiento de la explotación sexual y la trata de personas, los llantos silenciosos de los abusos en las infancias y adolescencias, el sufrimiento y la violencia dentro de los hogares, el papel de la justicia en estas trayectorias y cómo se despliegan las políticas públicas para atender estas situaciones.
La segunda parte se compone de cuatro artículos que invitan a reflexionar desde los marcos teóricos de comprensión del fenómeno. Fueron escritos por Andrea Tuana Nägeli, Fabiana Condon Molina, Cristina Prego Tramuja, Sandra Perroni Beneventano, Carlos Merlo Ávila.
Las coordinadoras del libro, Paola Silva González y Andrea Tuana Nägeli, cuentan:
“Este libro nace de la indignación, del dolor, de la rabia, de la esperanza y también del amor. En la dureza de cada una de estas historias de vida hay dolor e injusticia, pero también muchas ganas de seguir viviendo, riendo, amando, soñando. No son historias individuales ni excepcionales, son historias que nos recuerdan quiénes somos, cómo somos y todo lo que no queremos ser”.
Esta publicación se propone contribuir al debate público, informado y honesto respecto a un tema sobre el que es urgente generar compromiso político y políticas públicas integrales. El viernes 1 de diciembre, de 10 a 13 horas se presentará el libro en la sala Acuña de Figueroa del Palacio Legislativo.
