El MERCOSUR llegó a sus 30 años de existencia en el marco de una crisis. Diversas decisiones del gobierno uruguayo ponen en cuestión la pertenencia al bloque de integración regional.
En un contexto global marcado por la recuperación pospandemia y que enfrenta los múltiples impactos en términos geoestratégicos de la guerra en Ucrania, la recuperación de la integración regional retoma importancia para América Latina en el camino de construir una inserción internacional que contribuya a un modelo de desarrollo centrado en la justicia social y ambiental.
La idea de la reformulación de MERCOSUR gana fuerza en los debates académicos y políticos del momento. Desde una mirada que recupera la trayectoria histórica del bloque, con la coordinación de Damián Rodríguez y el aporte de Nastasia Barceló, Natalia Carrau y Gustavo Bittencourt, les presentamos un documento que aporta elementos para repensar la agenda estratégica de la integración regional en materia de integración económica y desarrollo productivo, desarrollo social y contribución de la integración regional a un modelo de desarrollo sustentado en la justicia ambiental.
